Collagraph, matte board, tape, glue, gel medium
I created this collagraph plate for an Intaglio assignment. I was inspired by the architecture in Rome during my study abroad program. To create the plate, I glued together layers of matte board, tape and added gloss, glue, and carborundum powder to build up the surfaces and textures. I did multiple proofs before landing on the final state.
I experimented with viscosity rolling to create multi-color prints.
